Types of Stun Guns

There are three types of stun guns available to individuals living within the United States. You can purchase any of these at an authorized retailer provided that they are legal in your state.

The first type is called a static charge gun. A static gun stuns people through an electric current that is pushed by a static charge. The second type is the Phase Induction gun. The phase gun uses an electric current that is gathered during phase induction. Lastly, the T-Wave gun is available on some markets. The T-Wave works by interrupting the brain. Once the brain is interrupted, the body cannot receive any signals. Additionally, all of these types of stun guns have a different amount of voltage associated with them.

Static Charge guns tend to range from 80,000 to 625,000 volts; this type of gun uses from 9 to 20 watts. Static Charge guns require a 9 volt battery. The Phase Induction gun ranges from 100,000 to 625,000 volts; and it uses 7 to 15 watts. Usually, the Phase Induction gun is more effective than a Static Charge gun. The Electro-Muscular Disruption (T-Wave) gun works via an 18-26 watt electrical system. Upon first strike, 50,000 volts are released into the attacker’s body. This type of gun is also known as a Taser. Tasers can reach up to 21 feet, and they can penetrate heavy clothing.

While the technology behind these guns is interesting, it should be know that they can also be dangerous. The various types of stun guns out there might be available for individuals, but it is wise to know how to fully operate them prior to purchase. Often, individuals do not understand the possible impact of this type of gun, which can lead to instant death. Most of the time, these guns are used by various police forces, though this type of usage has come under fire lately. If you want to protect yourself, these guns may be used, though it is important to find out whether or not they are legal in your area.
