Officers will receive classroom instruction emphasizing “use of force” criteria by a State-Certified Firearms Instructor, as well as range practice.  They will also complete a “Course of Fire”, per state regulations.  The officers must successfully complete all elements of the certification process with a passing score in order to be licensed as an Armed Security Officer. Officers must receive annual training and recertify with their weapon to demonstrate their proficiency.
